The climate change story from Pittsburgh's point of view has taken PublicSource's team from the classroom to a laboratory to the mayor's office and even Barbados. But climate change is still a story and we ask our readers to support our climate reporting

We created a data page and a popular quiz. We ask that you take the quiz now and share your results on social media; tag PublicSource to be entered into a drawing for a T-shirt.

To convey a sense of urgency and importance of addressing climate change, we put the resources of our entire newsroom behind Covering Climate Now with our Develop PGH reporter writing about green buildings and our education reporter researching climate change studies in the classroom, among others.

Sept. 30 is our deadline to raise another $2,000 for the climate change project.  Please let us know that climate change reporting is valuable to you; even a small donation of $5 or $10 will help to offset our costs.

Give now on the Ioby crowdfunding site (gifts can be anonymous!). Or, if you prefer, please donate at PublicSource.org and put "climate" in the comment box so we can count it toward our tally. You can request a PublicSource T-shirt or totebag here, too.

Finally, we have an exciting project ahead for November with National Geographic! It's a regional effort of six newsrooms titled "Good River: Stories of the Ohio." Please give today and show your support for PublicSource's environmental reporting.

Sincerely,

Mila Sanina
Executive Director

Final two days! Please don't let us fall short.
Our ability to tackle big reporting projects depends upon reader generosity.
