There are three things we need to keep in mind, John:
- Without aggressive and early investments in Arizona and Georgia, we wouldn’t have been able to elect Mark Kelly (margin of victory: 2.2%) and Raphael Warnock (margin of victory: 2.0%) in their special elections. Because they won special elections they’re up again next year.
- Arizona and Georgia represent “ground zero” for GOP voter suppression. 165 bills have been introduced by Republicans to do everything from requiring multiple forms of ID to vote to restricting vote-by-mail and eliminating no-excuse absentee voting.
- Both Mark and Raphael are holding true to their commitment to reject corporate PAC money. But Senate Republicans just announced they already have $17 million in the bank and are raising $100,000 per day to defeat Mark and Raphael.
