What a stunning time of year to be living on the southern Gold Coast! Another transformation is taking place - next to Robina Train Station. Just down the road, The Robina Hub held their September gathering and invited me to be a guest speaker [[link removed]]. I shared my own experiences of running a small business, as well as what the Morrison Government is doing to strengthen the economy and help businesses like theirs to grow and prosper.

The Government is also backing small and medium sized Australian manufacturers [[link removed]] to invest in new technology, grow and create new jobs through the $160 million Manufacturing Modernisation Fund [[link removed][0]=68.ARAZ6eriektdH8ot955KduKc6uNKVan0K4hkEgzW5zR6_fws_JePy25KN5InNGCPgK185tbBD3P2ObeKL6TMDFB942HG37dBGLejGZEsVbA3BVE9qT2dH6tCP2wFD3ZrBocY_SCiBNJaKXjBSuFqioRqolJ6bCD9toTNwy68-VhlQf7CDe_f_C90mKnQiYVIqTYv9XQqAibZDZNG5BZBWmpl5tCi9ThOWsQnez4MGbi-VpbaR-VlVWqVHDyw3Y5-37oYVlg5-3PbruQdVWfbn-9IT1CdIPb_28_Xvn-79_n9O8LjRkWxVmhv_tXemqCRRVwLz-mv_eSKXD4N7uWoSu-4J4bNhb_esBSekg&__tn__=-R]. I launched this scheme as part of our plan to create 1.25 million new jobs over the next five years. A great example of a company which is adapting and thriving is B&R Enclosures [[link removed]], which I recently visited for a tour of their facility.

There has been a focus on Australia's relationship with America, with the Prime Minister's visit to the US. I spoke with the team from Gilmour Space Technologies [[link removed]] in Helensvale, and they're "over the moon" [[link removed][0]=68.ARCtLWSjpnBr4CTXf0Xkh5nHSIbe80oNoMzh3vd96mOddsvDmNR2P5DX4ghHAT6oITFnmIxMcf1ryzihtUjgW0zRW6OZA_85-IHE1GTw3ksir7GSF4dm_hmlf5rLKmvUEWyiHcCKwh2_OigG_jx6qGknKJE6E8M7l58PMVcyi-o0J7UJQsxoqNR9HM8enmjCovKLyGzMrPIGI1DFu7AVJ02DZKcLqvw6_y1CjK-o-ZkhfK0iMNgYyeEfPFj51Olck4dueQiSmm4hUbuL5L0a_BpEInmmW8qVNCbBc2_PaG1TUXMvnpBmmRbeW8joLR8OTZQU8JWEJebchrepq2uEm1W5LA&__tn__=-R] about what this could mean for their local company. Plus, Tasmania has got on board [[link removed]], with the State Government signing an MoU with the Australian Space Agency to help triple the size of the sector by 2030.

I am always thrilled to see kids engaging in the sciences and loved participating in Caningeraba Primary School’s after school program recently.
