It's officially happening. Donald Trump's plot to take over the Republican Party is in motion.
POLITICO reports: “Trump will soon begin vetting candidates at Mar-a-Lago who are eager to fulfill his promise to exact vengeance upon incumbent Republicans who've scorned him, and to ensure every open GOP seat in the 2022 midterms has a MAGA-approved contender vying for it.”
That's right: Donald Trump won't stop until every possible seat in the House and Senate is filled with a lackey who will respond to his every command. He's not just trying to punish those who supported his impeachment -- he wants to create a new force of Trump-obsessed goons running Congress altogether.
In addition, Trump is pushing hard to power up his financial might -- with the “Save America PAC” having already collected $31 million by the beginning of February.
Think long and hard, now -- do you really want to see a reinvigorated Donald Trump crossing the country to name and shame anyone he thinks betrayed him, backed by unlimited firepower from conservative dark money?
Here at Progressive Majority, we know what our answer is. That's why we're mustering our resources NOW to organize early and shut down any hope of a Trump comeback starting right now.
Oh, and all those trusty Republicans in Congress who Trump thinks will stand by him? They can't vote to help him out if we vote them out of office, too.
In order to do all this, though, we need to replenish our resources. Trump still has millions in his bank and scores of allies on his side. We beat his dark money to flip the House in 2018 and the presidency and Senate last year -- but we'll need everyone we can get to do it again.
