Dear John
Extinction Rebellion has launched a new kind of disruption: TruthTeller.Life is a platform to help workers anonymously whistleblow for the planet and give courage to others to do the same.
In any company, employees often feel they don’t have a voice. Fear of punishment or lack of empowerment keeps them silent. TruthTeller.Life can change that.
The campaign lunched this month with unauthorised inserts in the Financial Times, calling cards dropped through letterboxes in London’s most affluent neighbourhoods and the pioneering use of targeted LinkedIn ads, urging potential whistleblowers inside Shell, Exxon, HSBC and HS2 to report greenwashing.
We’ve raised over £4,000 so far, but need to hit our target of £9,500 to fund the next phase of the campaign.
Successes so far: We've had unprecedented click-through rates for our LinkedIn ads and TruthTeller.Live has been featured twice in the Financial Times - our target publication for editorial coverage
What we need:
The pandemic may have kept us from the streets in numbers, but with creative disruption like TruthTeller.Life, on-the-street action in March and XRUK’s new Strategy Assembly shortly to reveal the plans they're cooking up for the months ahead, it feels like XRUK is stretching its wings again.
Thank you so much to everyone who's contributed so far.
Love and courage,
Sarah, XRUK Fundraising
