Americans are facing growing threats of gun violence. Gun sales are soaring higher than ever before, and members of Congress like Majorie Taylor Greene are using conspiracy theories to incite anger and encourage violence.

As life slowly begins to return to normal, children will go back to school, people will return back to their offices, and Americans will be reminded again of the ever present the threats of gun violence.

We can’t stop the spread of conspiracy theories and the violence they incite, but we can stop dangerous people from purchasing guns if we pass universal background checks.

Until we pass universal background checks, people prohibited from owning guns because of a violent felony can exploit loopholes in our patchwork of gun laws and still get their hands on a gun.
