This week, Hoosiers were reminded of an ignominious moment in Indiana politics. That time, 10 years ago, when Indiana Democrats walked out on their jobs, abandoned Hoosiers and fled to Illinois for a vacation right in the middle of session!
This Democrat temper-tantrum shut down the General Assembly for a month. While they took their vacation, the Democrats camped out off of I-74 in Urbana, IL holding all legislation hostage and making demands to radicalize our state with their far-left agenda.
Hoosiers had a nice way of thanking the Democrats for their childish walk out 10 years ago… by electing Republicans! In fact, since that walkout, your Indiana Republican Party now holds every statewide office in Indiana, super majorities in both houses of the legislature, 71 mayoral offices, and 88% of all county elected positions throughout the state.
With a winning streak like that, we’d encourage Democrats to walk about more! Of course, with super majorities in both houses, it wouldn’t slow down business.
