Dear John,
We need to keep out-of-state waste out of Maine.
Our Lunch & Learn tomorrow, February 26 at noon focuses on a legal loophole in Maine’s waste management laws that has allowed for Maine to become a toxic dumping ground for the rest of the northeast.
Sarah Nichols, the Sustainable Maine Director at the Natural Resources Council of Maine, Dana Colihan, the Maine State Director at Community Action Works, and Ed Spencer, chair of Don’t Waste ME , will join us to discuss the fight to close the out of state loophole and address this environmental injustice — and how you can help the effort this session. Register here to join us on Friday! [[link removed]]
Warmly,
Kathleen
P.S. Closing the out-of-state loophole is a priority of Maine’s Environmental Priorities Coalition! Learn more about the EPC’s 2021 agenda here [[link removed]] , and stay tuned for upcoming Lunch & Learns on other priority bills
