In 2008, when Wall Street crashed the economy and millions of American families lost their jobs, their homes, and their savings, I went to Washington to take on the big banks -- and I beat them.

And in 2012, when Washington Republicans were working for big banks instead of working people, I took on one of their popular senators in Massachusetts -- and I beat him.

I know what's broken, and I know how to fix it. I know how to fight, and I know how to win.

But I know that it's only possible if we work together. That's the only way we've won before -- by fighting side by side.

Every day, Americans are fighting to demand change and a better future for their families and communities. In the past few weeks, we've seen the Chicago Teachers Union preparing to strike to demand better conditions for their students, GM workers strike for good benefits and fair wages, and millions of young people worldwide strike for a solution to the climate crisis.

Our campaign is about putting power in the hands of working people, not catering to the rich and powerful. That's why I don't hold closed-door fundraisers or call wealthy donors for money. A political system that is beholden to big donors will never represent the interests of working Americans, and this is a people-powered movement.
