Hello John,

NPH is kicking off our 2021 programming and event opportunities designed with you in mind!

For those of you who have not previously joined us, NPH programs and trainings offer critical opportunities to grow our knowledge and expertise together, while fostering connections and community. Two key NPH program offerings for our March calendar include our Brown Bag workshops and trainings from the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN)

Brown Bag Trainings

Our Brown Bags offer new, exciting opportunities for dialogue around some of affordable housing’s hottest topics. As our Brown Bag slate develops for 2021, you can check here for the latest schedule of trainings.

Brown Bag: The Fundamentals of Designing Inclusive Communities

Join us March 18 at 12:00 PM as we address the lack of accessible housing options and ways we can increase the supply of more inclusive communities. You’ll learn from a developer, architect, and hear from disability consultants on why increased accessibility in affordable housing, particularly multifamily housing, is essential and how you can immediately incorporate fundamentals learned at this session in your work.

Moderator:

  • Caroline Bas, COO, The Kelsey, Moderator

Panelists:

  • Erick Mikiten, Architect and Universal Design Expert, Mikiten Architecture
  • Maddy Ruvulo, Disability Consultant and Transportation Planner, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA)
  • Nicholas Sanchez, Disability Consultant on Deafness

Learn more about each speaker.

 Registration closes Monday, March 15

The Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN)

Led and convened by NPH, ELPN is a cohort of affordable housing practitioners who work on a volunteer basis to create learning and networking opportunities for burgeoning housers.

De-Mystifying Construction Types

Join the Emerging Leaders Peer Network (ELPN) March 10 at 12:00 PM as Dioni Rey, David Mar and Kristen Belt de-mystify the art of selecting construction types. They will give us an overview of types, share “rules of thumb” for selection, and share recent innovation that is changing the way we think about construction type selection.

Three speakers at ELPN event

Registration closes Friday, March 5

As a reminder, all events will be hosted virtually. Do you need an ASL Interpreter or Closed Captioning? Please reach out to me at [email protected] at least one week before any training with requests for assistance.

I can’t wait to see you at our trainings this year, as we build strong connections that support our affordable housing industry and movement.
