As someone who's won in tough election cycles, I can tell you one thing for sure: Florida is not a red state; it's a hard state. You need the right money, message, and machine to compete.

While as a state, we didn't see as many Democratic wins up and down the ballot as we might have wanted, now is not the time to lament about the past or throw up our hands and give up. Now is the time to come together and listen to one another.

So I'm announcing an immediate effort to help regroup, refocus, and re-energize Florida Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterm elections: "Cast Forward with Stephanie Murphy." This will be key to our effort here in Central Florida and critical to the future of our great state.

Over the next few months, I look forward to having many frank conversations with Floridians and key stakeholders about how we can build for the future. I believe this is key to ensuring everyone's voice is heard.

Too many hardworking families have been left behind by the inhumane and incompetent leadership of the Trump-Rubio-DeSantis party, and these struggling families are depending on us to take back our state, retain our congressional majorities, help them get through this pandemic, and put families first again.
