John, I’ve been keeping an eye on Matt Cartwright’s race out in PA-08 and here’s the lay of the land:

- There are already multiple Republicans vying for the GOP nomination. We know this seat will be a high priority for D.C. Republicans, so I have no doubt they’re ready to dump millions in shady dark money here.
- Our GOP counterpart – the National Republican Campaign Committee – is regularly blasting out misleading press releases in an attempt to distract from Matt’s stellar record of getting things done for Pennsylvania.
- I’ve named Matt to our list of “Frontline” districts that will be critical to our success in 2020. I know that PA-08 is the first line of defense against Republicans retaking the House. If we win here, we’ll be able to hold our Democratic Majority.

Matt’s facing a critical fundraising deadline on Monday at midnight. In October, his fundraising numbers will be released to the public, and his opponent, the press – everyone! – will be able to see if he has what it takes to hold this seat, or if there’s an opportunity for the GOP to swoop in and flip it.

I KNOW Matt is ready to fight and WIN for Pennsylvania’s 8th District, but he’ll need your support to ensure the GOP doesn’t see an opportunity here.
