John,
It’s National Justice for Animals Week, and animals like Katarina, an abused dog, are counting on you to fight for them. Will you please join this critical campaign by donating today? Your compassionate gift will be matched up to $37,000 to help win justice for innocent animals like Katarina.
When Katarina was saved from a hoarding situation in Tennessee last April, she faced a tough road to overcome trauma. It took the hard work of animal advocates and law enforcement officers — as well as supporters like you — to make her fresh start possible. And now, Katarina has a happy home.
But the fight for justice continues for Katarina and more than 100 other animals rescued in this cruelty case — including other dogs, donkeys, horses, goats, sheep, geese, and parrots. Can they count on you to give today to help hold their abuser accountable and protect more animals from harm?
Katarina’s case underscores the urgent need for strong laws that truly protect animals. You see, Katarina’s abuser had been charged with animal cruelty — and pleaded guilty — before. The fact that she acquired and abused more animals shows that we need to continue fighting for legal remedies and strong anti-cruelty laws that will hold animal abusers accountable for their crimes AND prevent them from abusing more animals in the future.
But we need you with us, John. Animals need you to fight for them; to fight for laws that will protect their lives and interests. The Animal Legal Defense Fund’s National Justice for Animals Week campaign is dedicated to raising public awareness of crimes committed against animals and the urgent need for ACTION!
Currently, Katarina’s abuser has been charged with 18 counts of animal cruelty, but more needs to be done to ensure that the law does not fail again to adequately protect animals from abusers.
With you beside us, doubling the impact of your support, we can take necessary, lifesaving action today to establish stronger laws, prevent animal cruelty, hold abusers accountable, and vindicate the interests of animal cruelty victims. Please donate now to make twice the difference in the fight for justice for animals. |
For the animals,
