OUR LATEST REPORT: We've Got Room to Grow

In 1965 there were 6.4 working-age adults per adult at retirement age,
now there are just 3.54. If demographic trends continue, the U.S. risks
a failing social security system, the inability to properly provide
healthcare to the elderly, and stagnant or declining national and local
economies.

To make a long story short, America has room to grow. In fact, it needs
to grow.

This is the case we make in our new report, "Room to Grow" a report
applauded by policy experts across the political spectrum including Doug
Holtz Eakin ,
President of the American Action Forum, Stuart Anderson in **Forbes**
,
immigration attorney Charles Kuck, and John Iadarola's The Damage
Report, to name a few.

It was also cited in Ron Brownstein's column for **CNN**

and featured in an episode of the popular podcast **The Weeds**
,
with report co-author and Forum President and CEO, Ali Noorani.

RECAP: 800+ Join Evangelical Immigration Table Convening

Throughout January, our partners at the Evangelical Immigration Table
gathered over 800 evangelicals from 42 different states and territories
to discuss a biblical view of immigration, opportunities for policy
change with the new administration, and ways the Church can engage.

**And tomorrow, February 25, over 300 evangelical leaders representing
40+ states will join in virtual meetings with their representatives on
the Hill to advocate for bipartisan immigration reform.**

Evangelical Convening on Immigration.

STATEMENT: With New Immigration Proposal, Bipartisanship Remains Key

On February 18, Senate Democrats introduced the U.S. Citizenship Act of
2021 in Congress, a comprehensive immigration reform plan that includes
proposals that historically have garnered bipartisan support, such as a
permanent solution for Dreamers (see our full bill summary
).
We believe this is a positive step for immigration reform and, as Forum
President and CEO Ali Noorani said in our statement, "we look forward to
engaging lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to facilitate bipartisan
legislative proposals that advance our country's best interests."

If you support putting politics aside and taking meaningful action
toward practical immigration solutions, please retweet
our
statement and consider donating

to the Forum's bipartisan advocacy work.

TUNE IN: Response and Recovery

Immigrants have been critical to our nation's response to COVID-19 -
but they've also been among the most impacted by the pandemic's effects.
We're talking to public health experts, science writers and more to
understand how communities are responding to the pandemic and the
systemic challenges that it has shed a light on.

FROM OUR PARTNERS: Cummins CEO says "We need to do right by Dreamers"

In an op-ed for **The Indianapolis Star**

friend of the Forum and Cummins, Inc. chairman and CEO Tom Linebarger
makes the case for why Congress should enact legislation to protect
Dreamers. In his company and community, Linebarger writes that
immigration "has been a driver of economic growth, new talent and more
vibrant communities." Noting that immigrant contributions have helped
the U.S. grow a resilient economy that Americans have benefitted from
for generations (and making the case using our fact sheet
).
Linebarger "strongly urge[s] the Biden administration and Congress to
take one immediate and decisive step to unify our country. Start by
passing legislation that ensures permanent protection for 'Dreamers'
or codifies the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program."
