John,
I wanted to explain to you how I don’t take anything about this race for granted. It started with me and a team of two. Now we have over 145 volunteers who canvass, phone bank, design, advise, and fundraise with us.
I especially don’t take any of your contributions for granted. I know we all have decisions to make about how to spend our hard-earned money. Every day there’s something new. A new MetroCard. Groceries. An out-of-network medical bill. A copay. Huge hikes in rent. And still, over 500 of you have chosen to contribute to our campaign. That’s why I don’t ask my next question lightly. I know you’re already aware of how high the stakes are.
Can I count on you contribute to my campaign before our filing deadline Monday night? ([link removed])
September has been our best fundraising month yet. But we need to do one last push before October. We’re going up against someone who has won fourteen elections thanks to the support of corporate money.
Unlike the incumbent currently holding this seat, I vow to never accept a penny from corporate and super PACs, fossil fuel, or big real estate.
Will you help us reach the finish line?
Sincerely,
Let's get big money out of politics. ([link removed])
