Montana beer distributors fight human trafficking through Sentinel Project

The Montana Beer and Wine Distributors Association (MBWDA) is implementing the Sentinel Project to combat human trafficking in Montana. The Sentinel Project includes training distributors to recognize signs of human trafficking while they're out in their communities and to report those to the Montana Human Trafficking Hotline. The MBWDA said: "We are uniquely positioned to help fight this issue. We have access to locations that many of the public, and in some cases even law enforcement don’t – such as kitchens, storage and back rooms. We access these places monthly, weekly or even daily, which makes it easy to spot when something just isn’t right."

Brewers' favorite collaboration beers

Last year saw the continued emergence of cause-based collaboration beers. These partnerships have long existed, but like so many things over the last year, beer collaborations in 2020 were unique. Beer makers of all shapes and sizes joined together to address social problems, from the COVID-19 pandemic to racial injustice. UK being 'flooded' with fake YellowTail wines

Bottles of fake YellowTail wine have been found in shops across the U.K. The counterfeit bottles are believed to be part of an international racket exploiting the U.K.'s lucrative wine market. "This is a large-scale operation, probably originating abroad, using organized crime gangs in the U.K. to distribute and sell the products," said Ewan Lacey, global director of beverage logistics at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. An investigation has been launched by trading standards officers.
