Minimum wage needs to be a living wage. Not a “working two jobs and still worrying about making rent and feeding my family” wage.

That’s why I’m standing in solidarity with the fast-food workers who went on strike on February 16th to demand a $15 an hour wage. Fast food workers are risking their lives working during a pandemic, and they are still living paycheck to paycheck. Thousands of workers in our communities would benefit from a higher minimum wage, the majority of them young Latinas. Our workers need the security of a livable wage.
