** we’re coming for malaria with a new global campaign, are you with us?
------------------------------------------------------------

Hi ,

Zero Malaria Starts with Me’s new global campaign, Draw The Line Against Malaria, launches today with an energetic campaign video featuring some of Africa’s biggest changemakers, including the world’s fastest marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge, Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and Nollywood superstar Omotola J Ekeinde as well as award winning choreographer Sherrie Silver.

These superstars are asking the world to join the malaria fight by drawing the line against malaria at zeromalaria.org. There people can create a unique piece of art using the campaign’s universal visual language made of lines – created by Nigerian artist Láolú Senbanjo. Everyone’s artwork will be added to the globally crowd-sourced ‘Muundo’ mural, which will be delivered to world leaders at the Kigali Summit on Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases in June.

Join the movement to end malaria within a generation. We’re uniting to call for action, innovation and more funding to beat one of our oldest and deadliest enemies.

** Eliud Kipchoge joins the Malaria No More UK’s Leadership Council
------------------------------------------------------------

We are thrilled to announce that the world’s fastest marathon runner, Kenyan athlete and Olympic Gold Medallist Eliud Kipchoge, is joining our Leadership Council to help accelerate the end of malaria.

Eliud joins David Beckham and Andy Murray on the Leadership Council. These are exceptional individuals who are world leaders in their fields and whose passion in fighting malaria can influence and inspire public and political change, locally and globally.

For Eliud, the malaria fight is personal. Growing up in Kenya, where malaria affects the entire population, he suffered himself many times from the disease, which even prevented him from representing Kenya early in his career at the World Junior Championships in 2002. However, this setback did not stop him.

He embodies remarkable humility, strength and determination, proving the seemingly impossible to be possible. Eliud says: “I am a believer of change. I am a believer in trying the unthinkable and achieving what people say is not possible because I know that no human is limited”.
