Urge Congress to Include Behavioral Health Investments in Next Pandemic Relief Bill

As Congress continues its work to provide a new round of pandemic relief, one priority that must be addressed is the nation's substance use and mental health crisis. COVID-19 has fueled more isolation, depression, anxiety, economic stress, grief, suicidal thinking, addiction and overdoses.

Just this week, Dr. Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, called it, “The other great tragedy of 2020.”

Please join the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation in urging Members of Congress to include, in the next pandemic relief package, investments proposed in the bipartisan Coronavirus Mental Health and Addiction Assistance Act and the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act 2.0.
