Over the last three months, multiple right-wing opponents have jumped into the
race. Some are stronger contenders than others, but they all have one thing in
mind: beating us, flipping our district red and bringing their extreme agendas
to Washington.

When our report goes public at the end of this quarter, it will be the first
time that our numbers will be compared to these opponents. That’s a big deal.

If we send in a strong report and outraise our Republican challengers, special
interests might think twice about supporting them. If we fall short of our
goal, though, it could mean that we’re in for a tougher and more expensive
fight than we originally thought.

With all this going on, we’re still falling $6,227 behind our $10,000
fundraising goal.
