Dear John,
Take action to tackle the climate crisis. Demand President Biden declare a climate emergency.

Three million people in Texas were without power in below-freezing temperatures. This is the result of years of failing to plan for extreme weather events -- the types of events that will only become more common as the climate crisis worsens. Take action now.
Dozens of lives were lost in Texas, and more than 14 million are still without access to safe water.
John, will you ask President Biden to declare a climate emergency and address the crisis head on?
Demand President Biden address the climate emergency now.
The record low temperatures in that southern state were from the breakdown of the polar vortex. This low-pressure zone typically rotates in a cyclone-like fashion at the poles, holding a large mass of cold, dense air. These extreme weather events are corelated with climate change.
The vortices are no longer stable and are not kept in place thanks to a changing climate. Instead, they push the cold air from the poles further and further south -- resulting in the dramatic weather that hit Texas last week.
It’s past time to address this climate emergency. If President Biden signs an emergency declaration, it will allow him to take important executive actions to address the climate crisis.
Tell President Biden to follow the science and take action for the climate emergency we are facing.
Climate change is a national and global emergency. It impacts us all. President Biden can declare a climate emergency to tackle our overheating planet, but he has stopped short.
We need your help to urge President Biden to declare a national climate emergency and mobilize every resource at the country’s disposal to stop the climate crisis and address its consequences in line with science, equity, and justice.
Extreme cold. Hurricanes. Forest fires. Floods. They all will continue to devastate our country and the world at a record pace if something isn’t done quickly. Can we count on your help?
32,000 signatures still needed. Ask President Biden to declare a climate emergency and address the climate crisis head on.
Standing with you,
Ariel Moger,
Legislative and political coordinator,
