The Republican National Committee just announced yet another effort to make sure “voter ID laws are codified” -- and therefore suppress American voters.
When Americans have to shell out their hard-earned money and take time off work just to obtain enough pieces of paperwork to comply with the GOP's exclusionary voter ID policies, less voters -- especially working-class voters of color -- are able to participate in our democratic process.
Even in the face of the GOP's $30 million operation to suppress voters of color last election cycle, with the hard work of leaders like Stacey Abrams and the support of people like you, we managed to turn out a record number of voters nationwide.
That's why the GOP is doubling down. They know we have the people power to fight back against and overcome their voter suppression efforts, so they're going all in with even more money and resources than they did in 2020 to fund their new voter suppression campaign.
Listen, we know you're dedicated to making sure voters are empowered to cast their ballots and make their voices heard, and we're grateful that you've stood with us throughout the fight for voting rights.
But the RNC's new voter suppression campaign is going to funnel millions into efforts to pass even more exclusionary voting ID laws and intimidate voters of color -- and we need grassroots supporters like you with us if we're going to have the resources we need to fight back.
