Hi there,
Biden faces the $1.9 trillion question: Is it too much?
That's a headline CNN is running about Biden's relief plan. With President Biden's American Rescue Plan nearing passage in Congress, critics of the relief package are making their objections louder than ever.
But it defies belief that anyone could consider the plan, which provides $1,400 checks per person, $350 billion to keep state and local governments afloat, and expands ACA subsidies and tax benefits for low-income families, to be somehow “too much.” Are these critics not experiencing the same pandemic that the rest of us are? Are they living in another America where the real unemployment rate wasn't 11.1% in January? The people criticizing the plan as “too much” certainly aren't among the 19 million Americans who were facing threats of eviction at the start of this year.
We don't want to see this plan watered down -- Americans are crying out for relief. We need engaged Democrats to make their voices heard so Congress hears the right message about passing this plan once and for all.
Is Biden's COVID-19 relief plan “too much”?
Thank you for making your voice heard -- it's incredibly important that you show our legislators where you stand.
