** Friday: Spice of Life Cooking Class

Join the Senate GLASS Caucus, the Senate Black Legislative Staff Association, and the Congressional Jewish Staff Association in observing Black History Month with the Spice of Life with Michael Twitty, a spice workshop and talk with the pre-eminent expert on Black food, history, foodways, and its impacts on American culture.

When: Friday, February 26, at 6:30pm

About the speaker: Michael Twitty is the first “Revolutionary in Residence” at Colonial Williamsburg and a staunch advocate for the movement to preserve American heritage crops. He is a member of the LGBTQ+ community and has spoken at TED, MAD, has an NYT bestseller, and is set to be on Michelle Obama's new Netflix show, Waffles and Mochi.
