Republican legislators in Florida, Georgia, and around the country are attacking our democracy

John: Following the lead of Donald Trump and radical Republicans across the country, the Florida GOP has launched a full-on attack on vote by mail.

Despite the fact that Florida has some of the highest REPUBLICAN vote by mail participation in the country, the Florida GOP can’t seem to resist attacking democracy. You can bet that when redistricting starts next year, they’ll try to gerrymander their way into power for another decade.

This isn’t just a Florida problem--Republicans in critical swing states like Georgia have also introduced legislation to make voting more difficult.

Here’s the good news: with H.R. 1, the For the People Act, we can stop this assault on American Democracy by ending partisan gerrymandering, expanding voting by mail, and more.
