THE HOUSE VOTES ON THE EQUALITY ACT TOMORROW
Call Now!
[[link removed]]TIME IS RUNNING OUT BEFORE THE SCHEDULED U.S. HOUSE VOTE:
[[link removed]]Hello friend,

The House of Representatives will vote on the Equality Act (H.R. 5) tomorrow —
which would provide clear and consistent non-discrimination protections for
LGBTQ people at the federal level — and we need to do our part from
the District of Columbia to the nation’s capital to make sure they
pass it!

Will you contact your representative in the U.S. House NOW and urge them to vote
YES on the Equality Act? We have two easy ways you can take action below. Or you
can text EQUALITY ACT to 472472 to connect.* How you take action is up to you.

[[link removed]]As a steadfast advocate in our work to advance LGBTQ equality, you know how much
we need the Equality Act and the protections it would enshrine in our nation’s
laws.

* The bill would add sexual orientation and gender identity as protected
characteristics to existing civil rights law — providing permanent
protections under federal law for all Americans in vital areas of our lives:
employment, housing, access to public spaces, credit, education, jury service
and federally-funded programs.
* It would also add sex non-discrimination protections to public spaces and
services, as well as federally-funded programs, and modernize the public
spaces and services covered in current law — strengthening protections for
all people, including women, people of faith and people of color.

It’s long past time to pass the Equality Act … call your member of Congress
[[link removed]] , then send them a message of support via email
[[link removed]] to make sure they hear from constituents in the District of Columbia.

The louder we are in our support now, the more momentum we have at our backs as
it moves forward for consideration in the U.S. Senate and then on to President
Biden’s desk. We have a lot of work ahead of us to make the Equality Act the law
of the land … but, together, we can have a real impact, and we will need your
help and engagement every step of the way.

We have never seen such broad support for it: an overwhelming majority of
voters, hundreds of members of Congress, an unprecedented 350+ businesses. But this groundswell of support means little if we don’t tell our members of
Congress today to vote YES tomorrow .

Will you take a second to call?
[[link removed]] Then, send them an email message.

Every voice will get us closer to this crucial milestone –– add yours, and let’s
make ourselves loud and clear!

Thank you,
