John, I'm emailing you to ask you to rush an $3 donation to the DNC before tomorrow's deadline because, truth be told, we're coming up short. First, I hope you'll give me just a moment of your Sunday afternoon to explain why missing our quarterly goal would be detrimental to our party, and the role supporters like you can play in helping Democrats get where we need to be:

What this team raises together before tomorrow at midnight will determine whether the DNC can continue to fully fund the programs we desperately need to win in 2020 -- or whether we'll be forced to scrape by, providing the bare minimum to Democratic campaigns who need our support. Our eventual nominee and Democrats nationwide will be at risk if the DNC isn't in top shape before the general election. Missing this goal will hand Trump and Republicans even more of an advantage.
Making cuts to our critical 2020 programs is the exact opposite of what our party needs to be doing ahead of the most important election of our lifetimes. With Trump and his RNC counterparts raising millions more per day -- over $13 million in the last few days alone -- I can't emphasize enough how much your support matters in this very moment. That's why I have to ask you again tonight:
Can you make your first $3 donation of the year before tomorrow's critical deadline? If 73 more people from Washington make a gift, we'll be able to make up the ground we need to hit our quarterly fundraising goal.

The DNC is a grassroots-powered organization, meaning most of our donations come in the form of folks chipping in small amounts, whenever they can afford it. A huge portion of those donations come from people contributing through emails like this one -- meaning whatever you can afford to give today will play a big part in hitting this quarter's goal, building the strong Democratic Party we need to win, and beating Trump and his corrupt allies up and down the ticket in 2020.
