So much of our work at Groundwork Project these first few weeks has been behind the scenes. We’ve been having conversations with community organizers all across the country, listening, learning, brainstorming, and putting an action plan together. But the conversations have been so inspiring and energizing that we quickly realized: We need to share them with you!
We want you to understand exactly why we picked community organizing to be at the center of GWP’s mission – and why we believe it is the single best investment Democrats can make. And we want you to hear directly from the people on the ground who live and breathe this work every single day. Which is why I am SO excited to invite you to our very first virtual event, where you’ll be able to listen and learn alongside us and ask your own questions:

We will be joined by David Mendels of Movement Voter Project, Saru Jayaraman from One Fair Wage, and Tracey Lewis, a veteran organizer who recently served as State Director for the Biden-Harris ticket in Georgia. All three of these incredible guests have deep experience in year-round grassroots organizing and building sustainable political coalitions and infrastructure.
I cannot say enough how excited we are to kick off a series of conversations like this and have you join us! Don’t forget to sign up to receive the link and a reminder on the day of the event. [[link removed]]
Thank you and looking forward to seeing you soon!
With gratitude,
Joe
Groundwork Project was founded by Joe Kennedy III to support community organizers, advocates, and activists nationwide who are working year-round to build a just, free, and equitable future for all. For decades, the Democratic Party has under-resourced, under-valued, and under-recognized the importance of local political infrastructure and year-round grassroots organizing. This needs to change.
We're directing resources, attention, and support to the local advocates and state-based organizations doing the deep, long-term organizing that Democrats need to build a more diverse party, expand its base, win elections, and deliver progressive policy reforms. Contribute now. [[link removed]]
