You may not have heard about it in the news, but an American health insurance giant called Centene has just taken over 49 NHS GP practices. 

But this is not new for them. In the last few years, they've taken over NHS surgeries in Nottingham, Basingstoke, Milton Keynes, Leeds, etc. Could your local GP surgery be next?

Our local Clinical Commissioning Groups - the bodies that make local healthcare decisions in every area - can stop this.

Please sign this petition RIGHT NOW and demand that they stop the sell-off of our GP surgeries.

Whatever happened to Boris Johnson’s promise that our NHS is safe and not up for sale to US companies! 

And Centene is a pretty bad actor too. Even the Daily Mail described the company as “profit greedy”.

In 2018, the company took control of a group of surgeries in Essex, including the historic Osler House surgery, which was founded in 1955.

Soon after, they closed the Osler House surgery leaving thousands of residents without a GP within 40mins drive from their house. All that mattered to them was their bottom line.

In the US, Centene has been sued by thousands of people they sold insurance to. As the court papers showed, those people had "difficulty finding — in many cases cannot find — medical providers”. 

We cannot allow Centene to import their brand of “profit greedy” healthcare into the UK.

John, your own local GP surgery or the local GP surgery your friends and family depend on may not be affected today. But if this takeover goes ahead, your GP surgery IS NOT SAFE. 

That is why you must not just sign the petition; you need to make sure everyone you know signs it. It is that important!
