The PRO Act is a bill that would allow workers to negotiate better wages and benefits and end so-called ”right to work laws.”
It’s common for employers to engage in union busting to stop workers from organizing. Employers frequently fire pro-union workers, spend over $1 billion a year to prevent unionizing, and 90 percent of employers require workers go to management sponsored anti-union meetings. The PRO Act would make these mandatory meetings illegal and hold union busting companies accountable.
The middle class is shrinking, inequality is growing, and unions are under attack.
That’s why Congress needs to pass the PRO Act, so UAW families have a voice in the workplace. President Biden will sign it into law if Congress approves it. The bill would restore middle class jobs by allowing workers to negotiate better wages and benefits.
