What’s the future of travel and tourism?


Right now, many of us are questioning what ever-changing COVID-19 rules may mean for where we go and how we get there in 2021. As this uncertainty continues, it's compounding the already devastating impact the pandemic has had on the global travel industry. Millions of people whose livelihoods depend on thriving tourism have been plunged into hardship, but as the vaccination programme gathers pace, the industry is readying itself to re-emerge. But would could it look like?

Dr Sally Uren, Chief Executive of Forum for the Future explores four possible futures for travel, only one of which uses the pandemic to reset the rules and put sustainability at the industry's heart.
