The Capitol insurrection we witnessed on January 6th must never be allowed to happen again.

For the first time in our nation's history, our elected representatives faced an armed mob of American citizens in their own workplace, our Capitol Building. During the peaceful transition of power -- a sacred tenet of American democracy -- a mob of conspiracy theorists and violent extremists stormed the building and interrupted the certification of our election results.

The actions of that day were horrifying -- and the American people deserve to know exactly how their democracy came so close to falling.

That's why Brynne Kennedy is supporting measures to fully investigate the attacks on the Capitol on January 6th with the power of oversight of the U.S. Congress -- and she wants you to join her.

To answer the mountain of questions left behind after the September 11th attacks in 2001, Congress and President Bush formed a national commission with the mission of preparing "a full and complete account" of the attacks.

Now, we must form a similar commission to counter home-grown threats to our democracy.

From the exploitation of social media platforms to spreading lies and harmful information to understanding how violent attacks are unfolding against our government and our communities, there is a lot of information that needs to be brought to light so that an attack like this will never happen again.
