This week, as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, I moved forward with the hearing to confirm Judge Merrick Garland, President Biden’s nominee for U.S. Attorney General.

After the events of January 6, it is more pressing than ever that the Senate confirms an honorable, competent leader for the Justice Department who will make combating white supremacy and domestic terrorism and protecting civil rights some of his top priorities.
