Friends,
Our nation has taken a necessary first step to building back better and greener:
NPR: U.S. officially rejoins Paris Climate Agreement on Climate Change
But we can't rest on our laurels. The Paris Agreement is an important framework, but even its most consistent supporters are clear that it is not sufficient to combat the catastrophic effects of increased global warming.
We must go further. In 2019, I joined my colleagues on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis to release the first comprehensive Congressional report on climate change in US history -- outlining a roadmap to put our nation on the path to reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
We now have the partners we need in the White House and Senate to take action, but it will take enormous grassroots pressure to generate the political will we'll need to break the status quo. Sign on as a citizen co-sponsor of the Climate Crisis Action Plan today!

This is the test of our species. Humanity needs a country committed to science, the rule of law and respect for future generations to lead.
Let's do it,
