We wanted to make sure you saw this important update from Senator Warren, John:

OpenSecrets discovered more than $3.5 million in direct payments from Trump’s campaign and affiliated organizations to organizers of the January 6th protest at the Capitol. Elizabeth Warren is calling for an investigation into what happened.

According to the report, a number of dark money organizations helped organize and fund the rally that led to the armed attack on the Capitol.

Warren has a plan: get to the bottom of what happened on January 6th and who funded it. We can’t let these dark money organizations continue to corrupt our democracy.

Citizens United struck down limits on campaign spending and opened the door to a flood of contributions from dark money organizations. Republicans have taken full advantage of this along with their corporate PAC backers.

Now far-right dark money organizations supported a protest that led to an armed ATTACK on our US Capitol. In order to move forward with any unity, we need accountability from those who perpetrated the violence on January 6th -- as well as those who funded it.
