The Tennessee Action Coalition, Tennessee Nurses Association, and Tennessee Hospital Association congratulate the state&rsquo;s newly named 40 Under 40 nurse leaders. The program encourages those who have already stood out in their work to continue to lead the way. This year&rsquo;s cohort represents a range of regions, practice settings, and specialties.

Join Us for the Future of Nursing: Passion, Purpose, and Progress
Plan to attend this week&rsquo;s Campaign for Action event, open to all who care about the nation&rsquo;s health. The February 24 meeting sets the stage for the National Academy of Medicine&rsquo;s forthcoming report on nursing for the next decade, and honors the contributions of nursing during this extraordinary time. Presenters include leaders from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, AARP Foundation, and the Campaign.

AARP Purpose Prize, Community Challenge Open to Applicants
One program is for entrepreneurs 50 and over who are using their wealth of experience to improve the world. One program is for the innovators applying ideas to change communities in ways large and small. Both AARP&rsquo;s Purpose Prize and its Community Challenge, with deadlines in late March and in April, are now accepting applications.

Funding, Tools, and Other Opportunities

New - Systems for Action Aims to Boost Health Equity
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation&rsquo;s Systems for Action program seeks proposals to measure the impact of collaborations across the nation&rsquo;s fragmented medical, social, and public health systems&mdash;partnerships that allow organizations to better share in the costs, benefits, and influence that govern these initiatives. Grants are available for research to evaluate solutions. Deadline: June 9.

RWJF Seeks Health Policy Research Scholars
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation invites full-time doctoral students from nonclinical, research-focused disciplines to apply to become Health Policy Research Scholars. The four-year leadership program seeks those motivated to improve health, well-being, and equity and who want to lead actionable research that will inform policy change.
