It has been just over a month since President Biden's inauguration and we have already taken major steps to begin reversing the harm caused by the Trump administration - but there is still much work to be done.
While most of the work has resulted from ending Trump's executive orders, Congress is poised to begin voting on landmark progressive bills and we'll need your support and advocacy to help push them across the finish line.
This updated congressional directory will provide you with decision makers’ contact info right at your fingertips - so you will have the tools needed to make your voice heard as legislators deliberate and vote on progressive measures (and we'll be sure to keep you up-to-date on when we need you to act!).
And there is A LOT on the agenda:
- Passing sweeping reforms at the federal and state levels to build an inclusive democracy by protecting voting rights, expanding ballot access, getting Big Money out of politics, and strengthening ethics rules.
- Keeping up the sustained fight for accountability -- in the courts and at the ballot box -- for the far-right extremists who helped incite the January 6 insurrection and continue to undermine our democracy (including U.S. senators who voted to let Trump off the hook in his impeachment trial)
- Filling federal judiciary vacancies with fair-minded, highly qualified members of the legal community who can bring both demographic and professional diversity to the bench.
- Restoring civil rights and protections for Black, Latino, Muslim, LGBTQ and other vulnerable communities.
- Enacting reforms that eliminate police violence and reconceive community support programs across the country in order to eliminate the overreliance on policing.
- And that's just to start...
