Last week, I joined six colleagues to write an op-ed explaining why we find the newest allegations against the president a national security threat, and if true, an impeachable offense.

Congress must use every authority it has to investigate these allegations, to prove or disprove them, and every member of Congress should support the pursuit of truth. It’s our duty to protect the Constitution and our national security.

Yet, as reported in The Washington Post, starting Monday, the National Republican Campaign Committee will begin running ads attacking me. They are attacking me for standing up for the pursuit of truth, facts, and evidence in the face of the most damaging and dangerous of allegations against the President of the United States.

Will you help ensure that I have the resources to fight back against these attacks so that I can continue to defend the Constitution and our national security?
