Rep. Bennie Thompson and the NAACP are suing Donald Trump for conspiring with extremist groups to block the presidential vote count by attacking the U.S. Capitol.
According to NBC News, Thompson and the NAACP said Trump and extremist groups like the Proud Boys “shared a common goal ‘of employing intimidation, harassment, and threats' to stop the vote count.”
The lawsuit came just days after five Proud Boys were charged with criminal conspiracy in the attack that sought to keep Trump in power.
