How can youth and adults share power, learn from one another, and meaningfully partner to combat systemic racism and create a more perfect union
for every American?
Although the collective work of Black leaders has led to meaningful progress toward racial justice, Black Americans continue to navigate systemic inequities. America’s Promise Alliance invites you to join us this Friday, February 26 from 1-2:30 PM ET
for a conversation with young people and adults focused on how Black leaders across generations can work together to write the next chapter of progress for the United States. From the controversy surrounding the ways in which young people are taught our country’s history, to ongoing and widespread voter suppression in Black communities—our country’s greatest challenges must be addressed by amplifying, investing in, and learning from the leadership of Black youth and the adults who support and listen to them.
The event will include video reflections from Brandon Scott, Baltimore’s youngest mayor in more than a century, as well as closing remarks from Dr. Charles Cole III, Founder of Energy Convertors and co-host of 8 Black Hands ([link removed])—a podcast led by four visionary Black men fighting for Black youth in the public school system. The conversation will feature insights from the following panelists:
