Deb Haaland just wrapped up her first day of testifying before the Senate
Natural Resources and Energy committee for her historic confirmation as
Interior Secretary. She resumes tomorrow, and the committee will vote on
moving her forward next week.

With this historic appointment, Joe Biden chose the most qualified person
and put a true movement progressive in his Cabinet. Let's push for
Senators to finish the job and confirm Deb Haaland as the next Interior
Secretary.

Together, we helped Deb Haaland get elected to Congress in 2018. She
attended two of our National Candidate Trainings! We worked with her early
last year as a co-chair on Elizabeth Warren's campaign. And we pushed for
Joe Biden to make her Interior Secretary -- the first Native American ever
to hold a cabinet position.

Julian Brave Noisecat emailed PCCC members with the news of Haaland's
nomination in December, writing: "As an Indigenous person active in
progressive politics, I am over the moon. Biden's decision is a historic
win for Indian Country, the environment, and progressives. The
Congresswoman is perfect for the job."

Make sure Senators see massive support for Deb Haaland's historic
