Tell Congress:
"Pass a robust COVID relief package immediately to provide people and communities with the URGENT assistance we need."

John,
Last night, President Biden marked a grim milestone ― holding a candlelight vigil to honor the memories of the 500,000 Americans who have died from COVID-19. Even as we mourn this incredible loss of life, there is something we can do.
Late this week, the U.S. House will vote on a comprehensive pandemic relief package ― the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. It is robust in scope and scale ― and will add a lot of light to the end of the tunnel of this horrible pandemic.
Click here to write to your members of Congress, calling on them to vote YES on the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief package, which includes direct assistance to people and families, funding for a national vaccination program, assistance to people who have lost work, federal aid to states, local governments and tribes, and so much more.
This bill includes an additional $1,400 direct payment per person, which starts to phase out above the $75,000 income level for singles and $150,000 for joint filers.[1]
It includes provisions that will cut childhood poverty in half, including an expansion of the Child Tax Credit so that it reaches more families in need.
It will extend enhanced jobless benefits of $400 a week through August, and increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour ― it has been stuck at $7.25 for 11 years!
It will help millions of people afford health insurance or reduce their current costs by improving the Affordable Care Act.[2]
And, it will protect jobs and public services in our communities by providing $350 billion in critical funding to state and local governments and tribes.
Write to your members of Congress now and tell them to vote YES on the $1.9 trillion pandemic relief package.
In 2017, Republicans passed the nearly $2 trillion Trump-GOP tax scam, which mostly went to the rich and corporations. Now, Democrats are working to pass a nearly $2 trillion pandemic relief package for people, families and communities.
Any member of Congress who says that we can’t afford this COVID package at this urgent time of need should look no further than their vote on the Trump-GOP tax scam, and ask themselves: “What is most needed at this moment, assistance to people who are struggling to keep a roof over their heads and to feed their families, or tax breaks for the rich and corporations that are making out like bandits in this pandemic economy?”
Americans for Tax Fairness research shows that America’s 661 billionaires have seen their wealth skyrocket by $1.1 trillion since the pandemic began.
The answer is clear. We need a pandemic relief package that meets the urgency of the moment.
Thank you for taking action today,
Frank Clemente
