Tammy is fighting every day in the Senate for the working folks in Wisconsin and across the country. Here’s a quick update on what she’s been working on lately:
- Working on legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs, guarantee access to affordable health care, and ensure protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions.
- Holding the Trump administration accountable for trying to use taxpayer dollars set aside for our military in order to build a border wall that he promised Mexico would pay for.
- Tackling the climate crisis by studying the impacts of climate change on the nation’s economy and our national security.
- Fighting to pass the Equality Act, which would guarantee federal protections against discrimination for the LGBTQ community.
Unlike a lot of politicians, Tammy didn’t run for office to spend her time hobnobbing with billionaires or doing the bidding of special interests. She jumped in the fight because she didn’t see anyone sticking up for folks who have been left behind.
