The fossil fuel industry, construction firms, land developers, and other giant corporations kill up to a billion birds each year. Take action now.
In December, the Trump Administration took steps to eliminate penalties when polluters injure or kill migratory birds like the bald eagle in the course of their operations. It rushed the rollback of protections, failing to allow the public to comment.
President Biden has hit pause to seek public input, but we have less than two weeks to stop this cruelty to birds.

In 1989, an Exxon oil tanker off the coast of Alaska slammed into a reef, spilling enough crude oil to fill 125 Olympic sized swimming pools. Over 250,000 seabirds were killed.
It is estimated that more than a million birds died when BP’s Deepwater Horizon drilling rig exploded off the coast of Louisiana.
Exxon and BP agreed to provide $100 million to in fines and to support conservation of wetlands as part of their settlements. But if Trump’s rule change is not stopped, businesses and individuals will no longer be prosecuted under the Migratory Bird Act for this type of horrific incident.
Up to a billion migratory birds each year are electrocuted, poisoned, or killed in collisions. Big Polluters need to face consequences when they harm migratory birds. Can we count on you to protect them?

Passed in 1918, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act is one of our oldest and most important conservation laws. Now we need your help to protect it.
If Trump’s horrific rule change is adopted, that would change -- undoing over a century of conservation efforts to protect birds.
We cannot allow Trump’s parting gift to the oil industry to go through without a fight. The Migratory Bird Treaty Act protects over 1,000 bird species including bald eagles, American flamingos, Atlantic puffin, and the Arctic loon. There’s still time to preserve this conservation act, but the clock is ticking.
