I didn't move here to run for Congress in TX-24 because it was winnable.

This is my home. I moved here in 2006. My wife teaches 5 minutes from our home. We have ties to this community and to our neighbors.

You don't have to live in the district you want to represent, but you should.

You shouldn't have to learn which coffee shops are the best 6 months before the election. You shouldn't have to wonder where to get the best Mexican food, because you have already tried the local restaurants many times over.

I get a little steamed when I see people coming in to a district because it looks like a win. The residents of TX-24 deserve someone who has been a part of their community, and will continue to be a part of the community even after the election.
