One of our own, Liza Caraballo-Suarez, Ed.D., is running for vice president of the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP); if you're eligible to vote in the election, I am asking you to support her candidacy. The polls open today, Feb. 23, 2021, and close on March 5.
A member of the Council of School Supervisors & Administrators (CSA), Local 1, Liza is principal of Magnet School of Architecture, Engineering & Design—P.S. 120 in Brooklyn, New York. I have known her for a long time and she is an outstanding leader and educator, but more importantly, she is a person of character and vision.
As vice president she will work toward equity and access for all students, expanding social emotional programs, and to increase, advance, nurture and sustain an inclusive membership at NAESP that values differences.
Liza is a person who will collaborate with colleagues to support principals facing the challenges we have in our schools every day. Her complete biography and organizational goals can be found here.
