Folks,
In 2019, Deb Haaland and I made history as the first Native American women elected to Congress — and now, Deb is poised to make history yet again.
President Biden nominated Deb as the first Native American to serve as Secretary of the Interior, and the first Native American Cabinet member! Tomorrow she will have her hearing — and it’s the Senate’s duty to confirm her.
Will you join us as we call for the Senate to confirm Deb Haaland as our nation’s first Native American Secretary of the Interior? We need 5,000 supporters before Deb’s hearing→
CONFIRM DEB HAALAND
It was a privilege to work so closely with Deb in the 116th Congress, and I know she is the perfect person to lead the Biden-Harris agenda at the Department of the Interior.
For the first time in our nation’s history, the agency responsible for overseeing federal land, including millions of acres of Tribal land, will be run by a Native woman. Deb understands the unique challenges and opportunities of tribal communities, and she will bring a much needed voice to the Administration.
Meanwhile, Republicans in the Senate are trying to derail her nomination to please their oil and gas special interest donors. They know that she will finally stand up to Big Oil and tackle the climate crisis head on, and this terrifies them.
I am proud to support Deb Haaland today and in her tenure as Secretary of the Interior. Now, it’s up to the Senate to do its job and confirm her.
Will you show Deb support today and sign our petition calling on the Senate to confirm her as Secretary of the Interior?

Thanks!
