In The News

WALTZ ON THE 2022 WINTER OLYMPICS IN CHINA

Most of the news this week was dominated by Mike’s resolution calling for the United States to boycott the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, China, unless they are moved out of China completely. Mike published an op-ed on Monday that highlights China's human rights atrocities that you can read here.

On Tuesday, Mike joined Maria on Fox Business to talk about his resolution himself, saying:

“The Chinese Communist Party unleashed Coronavirus on the world, over two million dead world-wide, they covered it up and arrested journalists and doctors who were trying to ring the bell to the world. And now you have ongoing genocide as we speak (in China). Biden’s Secretary of State Anthony Blinken agreed in his testimony for nomination that forced labor, forced rape, internment camps, and concentration camps of over a million Uyghurs. This is an absolutely brutal dictatorship and i don't see how the International Olympic Committee gives them the honor of having the olympic games in this capital. I cant imagine the American flag with our athletes there in Beijing after what they put the world through and after what they have done to their own people.”

WALTZ AT DAYTONA 500

Aside from the Olympics mania, Mike was at the Daytona 500 last Sunday and highlighted a 17 year old local, Daniel Dye, who is leading the Race to Stop Suicide.

WALTZ ON A DEADLY ROCKET IN IRAQ

Mike also joined Fox and Friends to talk about a deadly rocket attack in Iraq.

“This (attack) was very likely local militia groups backed by Iran, funded by Iran, and trained by Iran. The Iraqi government needs to go after these groups and needs to secure our forces. We have drastically minimized our footprint there and I think rightly so over time, but that means we’re reliant on the Iraqi Army and that government needs to step up and frankly squash these attacks.”
