John,

A major streaming video corporation is filming a new series on the sidewalk in front of the Downtown Pittsburgh Planned Parenthood.

The topic? Local vigil leader Nikki was told the show will focus on demonic possession.

"Big surprise there!" Nikki said. "You can't make this stuff up."

Nikki noted that the production company's tents, heaters, and crew filled up the sidewalk where her vigil normally takes place. That made for an interesting prayer procession, which involved 125 people braving ice and bitter cold.

The fictional television series is being filmed in a bookstore adjacent to Planned Parenthood...

...while peaceful pro-lifers battle against real demonic forces next door.

"We should have an interesting campaign if they continue to film!" Nikki said. "Stay tuned!"

Lafayette, Indiana

It was just TWO DEGREES FAHRENHEIT when Melinda arrived to the 40 Days for Life vigil in Lafayette.

One Planned Parenthood client tried to tell her that the facility doesn't do abortions. But Melinda had done her homework and calmly explained that the center sells chemical abortion pills and refers for surgical abortions.

"She didn't say another word and quickly took off into the building," Melinda reported.

Seven vehicles came to Planned Parenthood between 8am and noon that day--but another car arrived...and immediately left.

Was the vehicle occupied by an abortion-minded woman? It's impossible to say, but Melinda and her team continue to trust that God will use them to save lives in His time.

Pomona, California

The weather was much better across the country in Southern California.

The vigil was bolstered by the presence of a local Catholic homeschool group, which joined the vigil.

"It was great to see familiar faces and some new ones," Pomona 40 Days for Life leader Steve said. "Thank you to all the moms that made the effort and were able to bring the gang out."

With mothers and students of all ages coming together to pray, Steve joked that the Pomona 40 Days for Life campaign should have a "biggest family contest."

The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.

—Luke 4:18-19

Lord, send us to the poorest, the most broken, the most captive, the most blind and the most oppressed in the world, the innocent pre-born children in their mothers' wombs that are scheduled for destruction. Help us to bring them healing, liberty, sight and justice through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
