Can Republicans flip Colorado? Brauchler, others say they can at annual Morgan County Lincoln Day dinner

Fort Morgan Times: Keynote speaker George Brauchler, formerly district attorney in the 18th Judicial District, projected an optimistic view for Republicans in the midterm elections, based upon their work ethic.

“I’m bullish on 2022,” he said. “I’m not telling you we’re going to return to the Colorado we all grew up in, but we can return to a Colorado that is a lot different than we have now.”

U.S. Rep. Ken Buck, R-Greeley, who will soon end his service as the chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, began the night discussing federal level politics, following an eventful day in the district where he met with many business owners and community leaders.

“The more power we get out of Washington, and into the state of Colorado, the better,” Buck said. “And, the more Republicans we can get in the state legislature the better.”

Rep. Doug Lamborn introduces resolution honoring conservative 'thought leader' Rush Limbaugh

Colorado Politics: U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn on Thursday introduced a resolution in Congress to honor the life and legacy of Rush Limbaugh, the pioneering talk radio host who entertained millions and shaped conservative politics for decades.

"It is essential that Rush's dedication to talk radio and his importance to the conservative movement is not forgotten," Lamborn, a Colorado Springs Republican, said on Twitter.

Brauchler: Colorado Democrats refused — three times — to pass judicial records reform. We now know what a mistake that was.

Denver Post: Elected Democrats in the executive and legislative branches of state government say they are aghast at the ground shaking reporting on the conduct of our state judiciary by Denver Post reporter David Migoya, who uncovered the scandal despite significant hurdles to accessing judicial records.

But the responsibility for those hurdles belongs squarely with those same Democrats.
